Hold What Matters | 24h October 2026
Spend a day in the FOUND studio.
There is something deeply satisfying about making an object that will become part of your everyday life.
Our workshops are an invitation to slow down, work with your hands, and experience the rhythms of the FOUND studio.
Join us for an exclusive workshop experience to make your new favourite mug using traditional hand-building techniques. Each workshop welcomes a small group of up to 12 guests for a relaxed day of creativity, conversation and hospitality here at the FOUND studio in Harringworth, Northamptonshire.
You will work with stoneware clay with guidance from our in-house ceramicists. No previous experience is required. Whether you're discovering clay for the first time or returning to it after many years, you'll be guided through every stage of the process in a calm and supportive environment. Your day includes:
10:00 arrival with freshly made tea and coffee waiting for you, followed by a short studio tour.
10:30 demonstration and hands-on making of your new favourite mug begins.
12:30 we lay fresh table cloths and stop making to enjoy a seasonal lunch prepared by our favourite local producer.
13:15 we begin surface decoration, personalisation and finishing touches of your mug, with time for photographs.
14:30 a brief explanation of the glazing and firing process and time for you to select from our exclusive FOUND glazes.
15:00 we conclude our workshop - you will leave your mug with us to slowly dry and over the following couple of weeks we will keep you informed when it is fired, glazed, fired once again, and finally shipped out to you.
What is included?
Locally handmade lunch and cake (allergies and dietary requirements catered for).
Unlimited specialty teas, coffee and soft drinks.
A glass of English sparkling wine.
Exclusive FOUND apron for the day (available to purchase online if you would like one to take home).
