Our story.
FOUND is an independent British ceramics studio on the border of Rutland and Northamptonshire, within the quiet landscape of the English countryside.
In 2026, the studio became the world’s first certified carbon neutral ceramics studio.
Working primarily in porcelain and stoneware, the studio creates small-batch objects shaped by materials, atmosphere, and use. No two pieces are the same - not a flaw in the process, but the core purpose of our work revealing the movement of the maker’s hand, the unpredictability of fire, and the character of the materials themselves.
FOUND is drawn to overlooked and reclaimed minerals, and unconventional material combinations, exploring how refinement and responsible making can exist within the same creative process.
Our pursuit for perfection in detail lies in embracing nuance, restraint, and impermanence: objects intended to be lived with, gathered around, and quietly absorbed into daily rituals.

Jez Rose [Founder]
Jez Rose came to ceramics after leaving the visual arts industry, drawn to a slower, more physical way of making. His work in porcelain is shaped by restraint - what to leave unfinished, and what to leave to the firing process.
He has collaborated with private collectors, country estates, and Michelin-starred kitchens.
Todd Gilbey [Co-Founder]
Todd Gilbey’s multidisciplinary background - spanning hair styling - informs a practice centred on texture, proportion, and material sensitivity.
Working across both functional and sculptural forms, his approach is guided by atmosphere, and the relationship between object and environment. He especially enjoys exploring texture and surface.
