FOUND: the world’s first carbon neutral ceramics studio.
FOUND is a porcelain studio shaped by quietness, ritual, and time.
Created by British artist and writer Jez Rose, the studio makes objects for everyday living: porcelain tableware, vases, and vessels intended to be used slowly and kept for years.
Each piece is made in small batches from our studio in Rutland, England.
Porcelain is chosen for its softness, strength, and ability to hold light. Some pieces are wheel-thrown. Others are carefully hand built and refined using traditional techniques. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.
The process is intentionally unhurried, and the marks of making are preserved quietly within each object.
FOUND believes that the objects we live with shape the atmosphere around us.
A cup held every morning. A bowl placed on the same shelf each evening. A small candlestick glowing softly in the corner of a room.
These rituals matter.
The name FOUND speaks both to discovery and return and of finding beauty in simplicity, slower living, and the quiet comfort of well-made things.
After more than two decades working internationally as a keynote speaker, writer, and television presenter, Jez returned to making as a way of reconnecting with something more tactile, grounded, and real. FOUND emerged from that shift.
Not as a reaction to noise, but as an alternative to it.
You will not find perfection or mass production here. Instead, we value patience, restraint, and permanence.
FOUND is less interested in creating more things, and more interested in creating things that remain.
